Kristine Kainer
Georgetown, Texas
For Kristine Kainer, recreating her emotional attachments to subject matter, whether a still-life or landscape, is paramount. Her goal is to emotionally trigger a response in the viewer. But, "this response does not need to replicate my own feelings; instead, I hope to make the viewer pause for a moment, reflect upon, then respond to my work in a personal, meaningful way."

Artist Statement
My colorful paintings seek to connect us with ordinary subjects in a unique and vibrant way. Whether it's the simplicity of everyday foods, the intricate beauty of seashells, or the nostalgia of a well-worn baseball, I aim to infuse these subjects with extraordinary life. My distinctive approach relies on bold brushstrokes harmonized with ethereal backgrounds. Frequently, I use my fingertips as brushes, fostering an intimate connection between my art and me, resulting in a dreamlike atmosphere.
