Born in Croatia, Serbian artist Andrea Krnetic Grbic specializes in graphics that often focus on animal themes, depicting them with human characteristics to convey deeper symbolic meanings. She explores these motifs across various mediums, with linocut as her favorite. Influenced by artists like Paul Klee and Marc Chagall, her work blends whimsy with profound insights. "Behind each piece of my art lies an emotional and intellectual story," shares Andrea. Her passion for art began in childhood and deepened in high school when she took drawing classes. This early love led her to study at the Academy of Art in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she developed a strong affinity for printmaking. Andrea works in a bright studio near her home and frequently participates in exhibitions and gatherings with fellow artists. When she's not creating, she enjoys spending time with her family, boating on the river in her city, and being in nature.
