Artist Viktoria Majestic captures the beauty of the natural world through loose, painterly compositions. As a child, she was drawn to the colors and creatures of nature, a love that fueled her passion for drawing. “I feel fortunate to see the world around me through the eye of an artist,” says Viktoria. She now teaches art, sharing her knowledge and passion with her students. Her studio, a short walk from her home, was once a woodworking shop and sits on her family farm, surrounded by woods and open pastures. Outside the studio, Viktoria finds inspiration in travel, enjoys gardening, and loves baking for her family and friends.

Artist Statement
I feel fortunate to be able to see the world around me with the eye of an artist, and through my paintings, I can share the beauty I see even in the most mundane things.
Colors, lights, and shapes all play a very important role in my life and work. Whenever possible, I paint from life. Landscape paintings usually start out as plein air studies, before I create the final studio piece.
When I create a painting, I strive to make it loose and painterly, to allow the viewer’s imagination to be free. I also make a conscious effort to capture light, emotions, and atmosphere on canvas. I believe that I will accomplish my goal if people are moved by my work and can emotionally connect to my art.
