About this artwork

Artist Jessica JH Roller captured this playful forest scene of a deer and squirrel at the edge of a waterfall using her signature folk art style. The moon shines through the old-growth tree, glistening on the water. Jessica says the painting is based on this poem: To the comfort of the docile forest, Where the magic hid, Until the colors and waterfalls thawed, And the unity of the sun caused longing for further journey, Into the sea-like wilderness.
