About this artwork
Inspired by the forms and colors of a rural diner, artist Joey Korom expresses an abstract embodiment of a drive-in restaurant along the highway. Placards advertising coffee, eggs, and more coffee dominate the diner's fa�ade and roadside shoulders, explains Joey. He mimics these elements into expressive combinations of colors. Joey applies pastel brushwork in a conceptual and challenging way.
