About this artwork

Take one sleepy rural village, add a dollup of Fauve intensity, and reduce detail to the minimum. The resulting work is an interesting example of art which straddles the line between representation and abstraction, with neither side dominating. The arch in the foreground directs the eye into the middle ground by following the road behind it, but beyond these basic elements the piece is really about form, color and texture. The sides are painted brown, and it arrives wired and ready to hang.
