About this artwork
This Hawk lives on a bluff overlooking the beach at Shoreline Park in Santa Barbara. He wooshes down threatening the gulls and in turn, being harassed by the crows who also spend a lot of time at the beach. According to Emil, though, what he eats are the voles who live around the edges of the park. He is painted in warm tans and browns on a soft black background.
