About this artwork

A wash of green sets the tone in this work. Artist Aleksandr Mukhin recalls a sweltering summer day at his dacha - a country house or cottage - stepping into the cool stillness of a nearby Orthodox church. Through a stained-glass window, he spotted a boy savoring an ice cream cone, his joy quietly radiant.
