A lively abstract expressionist painting in fast strokes of purple, green, red and white, with many additional nuanced colors blended directly on the canvas. For Courtney Jacobs, painting is an intuitive process that requires as much looking as painting. This intuitive process taps into the purely visual non-language right brain - a meditative unfolding I liken to 'speaking in tongues,' says Courtney. Instead of vocalizing, I let the paint act as my medium of meditation. Courtney then invents titles as a part of this process, which are meant to be spoken aloud by the viewer.
