About this artwork

Strong simple shapes create a figurative abstract in artist Gail Ragains's piece. An impression of a nude woman sits on a stool with her back hunched in contemplation. Many of the collage papers that are used were remnants of old ink drawings, tells Gail. She further paints colorful patterns in the layered sheets to build dynamic energy.
