About this artwork
Artist Yelena Sidorova paints a portrait of a ginger kitten lounging on a chair - an entry to her series inspired by the grace and eloquence of her two beautiful pets. "I am a cat person. I love having them in my home," shares Yelena. She made the artwork by painting silk with acrylics and dyes, using black and gold resist to control the colors from spreading. She steamed the piece as a final step to protect and preserve its brightness.
