About this artwork

Artist Jennifer Ross depicts an encounter between a horse and a barn owl. The bird perches on the white steed's back as it grazes on a farm. The setting sun basks the distant trees, the red barn, and the entire pasture with warm rays of light. Using a collaging technique, Jennifer pieces together fragments of white and brown eggshells in the form of animals and then layers paint over the textured surface.
