About this artwork
Driving through Wilmington, North Carolina, artist Rick "Marlowe" Schneider saw a cow picking strawberries on a field. "This animal walked right up to me and put her beautiful nose right near my face, and I could see her emotion and thoughtfulness," shares Rick. Inspired by the experience, he creates her portrait and captures her big, soulful eyes. Using his signature technique, Rick combines colorfully patterned paper and watercolor to create this endearing image.
