About this artwork

A New Kingdom was created through the idea of coming and going, moving through new thresholds, from one paradise to the next, explains artist Miranda Gamel. A contemporary tableau of parrots in flight and at rest. Their bright orange bellies provide a stunning contrast to their blue feathers and the blue and purple backdrop. Miranda adds, We all must leave at one point; our jobs, friends, our old lives, but it will never be in vain.
