About this artwork

Sherri posed her model, Alex, in a wooded area near Sedona, Arizona on an autumn day. The late afternoon sun glows in the trees and silhouettes Alex as she pulls her shawl around her. A look of quiet joy on her face. Sherri used elements of classical realism and impressionism to capture the warmth of the scene.
