About this artwork

The weather is calm with a few passing clouds. In a simple composition of rich blues, pastels and whites, artist Nancy Hughes Miller creates a bright, modern seascape. “I take many photos of the beach and oceanside,” says Nancy. “When I paint in the studio I refer to the pictures but I allow my imagination to take over. It’s fun to make art without an exact plan and an unknown outcome.”
