About this artwork

Chasing Secrets was inspired by brilliant fall colors and the feeling of breaking loose from the things that hold us back, explains artist Cynthia Ligeros. In fall, suddenly the colors burst forth. I wanted to capture that exciting feeling of freedom. That shows in the contrast between the muted colors along the edges versus the organic shapes and brighter colors in the center. Whenever I create geometric forms, I like to mix in a bit of chaos. It's all about growing and breaking free.
