About this artwork

An expansive landscape with a dramatic sky, the majestic Teton Mountains, and a verdant bucolic valley. Silver lined cumulus clouds form a ring around a blue sky etched with cirrus clouds. The darkly shadowed foreground forest is barely suggested, allowing the eye to travel to the valley and the icy mountains in the middle ground then up to the swirling sky. My brother, a pilot, was thinking of me when he took the reference photo while flying over Wyoming, so of course I had to paint it!
