About this artwork

I love a landscape with a strong directional pull! says artist Ronda Waiksnis. That sense of travel and adventure is so alluring. Rainy weather and stormy skies are presented in a gradient gray. Growing darker as it approaches the horizon, gestural application of black suggests a stand of trees. A river opens up, the sun reflects brightly on its surface, as deep burgundies and greens line both sides of the riverbank.
