About this artwork

I love my gardens, especially the roses. One of the perks of tending roses is bringing them in to enjoy while they are in bloom. I painted these freshly cut garden roses alla prima style from life. This wet on wet technique energizes me and helps me to achieve a loose, fresh feel to my work. This piece is painted on an oil primed linen panel and is varnished.
