About this artwork

An up-lifting, light-filled contemporary landscape that combines old world realism with a modern aesthetic. Clouds sweep dramatically across the sky, enlivening a bucolic landscape. The cool blues of the sky contrast with the warm golden ochres of the landscape and the warm whites of the clouds. The landscape is stark and serene with golden rolling hills sculpted by sunlight and shadow. The horizontal format gives a contemporary feel and adds to the sense of calm.
