About this artwork

Sunlight bathes a traditional adobe courtyard with a kiva fireplace at the center. Hollyhocks, ristas, and lupine add pops of color against the neutral garden. Artist Sherri Aldawood encountered this place while walking around Taos, New Mexico. She painted the scene the same way the town honors and maintains its unique history.
