About this artwork

Waves roll in while the sun sits high in the sky. Inspired by a short winter visit to Florida, artist Judy Mackey creates a serene view of the Gulf Coast. This painting was made with quieter tones which reflects the peacefulness of the beach, no distractions, no worries, shares Judy. With her palette knife, Judy rendered the piece with careful strokes yielding thick texture and chunkiness.
