About this artwork

A grouping of trees almost completely yellow in the heat of summer. The open field in the foreground reflects the same warm tones. Artist George Peebles says his goal was to represent the brilliant spectrum of fall colors that cap the end of summer. George is known for his dramatic autumn landscapes and panoramic ocean vistas. He enjoys painting brief, electric moments in nature. George draws on his surroundings in Michigan but ultimately paints entirely from his imagination.
