The Florida Keys (where Lignum Vitae is) is a fabulous place to go to see some spectacular skies! Skies and weather are often the focus in my work and this painting is no exception! This oil painting is on Arches paper made specifically for oil paint. Arches is a high quality, extremely durable paper that is made in the village of Arches,France. Artists have been using this pure-cotton heavy paper since 1492, including Van Gogh, Picasso and Warhol! This painting will require framing. It has been lightly varnished for durability.
