About this artwork

This is part of my Pierrot series, with my long time model Amina Santana posing. I wanted to use the blue blanket as a strong counterweight to the mostly black and white colors of the rest of the composition. The title is resting pierrot, but the expression on her face is resigned, or perhaps, watchful.
