About this artwork

This is a 3rd in a series using a window from an old stone house that has a wide window, wide enough to accommodate a small still life. In this instance, I've used small stones, sea shells and urchins from Maine. The landscape in the background is a scene from the Outer Banks in North Carolina. I like the idea of combining something architectural with still life and landscape, plus the aspect of loking out from within a space. Of couse, my primary objective is capturing the feeling of light.
