About this artwork
This was painted from a reference photo I took during a morning walk in Manhattan. The air was crisp and clear, which produced a lot of contrast among the buildings. I painted this one a little differently than usual, using a palette knife for most of the painting, as I wanted it to have a more spontaneous look. The painting's 1 1/2 sides are painted raw umber and it is ready to hang.
