About this artwork
This is a view from the clearing of an 18th century stone house that belonged to my art professor at Gettysburg, says artist Jay Jensen. The painting was inspired by a photo that I had taken from a certain distance away, but the composition was also influenced by a Wyeth watercolor of a similar scene in winter. Chad's Ford, where Wyeth lived, is not far from Gettysburg.
