In this dramatic seascape, Jesse Aldana describes a stormy evening on the coast near Santa Barbara, CA. A cloudburst races across the channel while a sailboat lolls aground on the beach. He mutes the sound and intensity offshore with a calm foreground of silent reflection, over which a strand of plover skitter into the distance.
