About this artwork

This is a rendering of one of my favorite trees. It has such character and sits by itself in a riverbed that is dry most of the year. I wanted to create a moody, atmospheric scene to surround the strength of this tree, so I used mostly neutral colors. The path takes you to the river. This is painted on archival sanded pastel paper mounted on a foamcore board.
