About this artwork

Expressionist linocut printmaking of a figure peering up, surrounded in a web of thought. Natalia used a technique she describes as 'automatic drawing' where vigorous lines make up the face. "In all the graphics, I avoid additional attributes that might divert the attention from the essential topic as the human being," she explains. "The work is a sort of call, arousing the interest, but also the voice of the opposition to fate's adversities." Printed by hand on Velin d'Arches paper using Charbonnel ink.
