About this artwork
“I wanted to capture a different side of the busy city of New York”, explained artist Joanie Ford. “This view of the bridge across the East River shows as a calmer view of the city. I kept the buildings in the background soft and diffused to bring attention to the bridge, and because the city never sleeps, I left lights on in some of the structures. The river shows movement which adds to the energy of the scene”.
