About this artwork

I live on an old farmstead in the Midwest, where I paint scenes from my imagination for my quiet, country landscapes. These contemporary rural landscapes are painted simply, from the heart. With my art work, I want to capture the feeling of quiet peace and serenity, that I love about the country. This old house painting, was inspired from the old red brick farmhouses that I have seen over the years, on the rural back roads of America. I set this house along a quiet country lane with a heavy overcast sky around it. I love painting the Heartland of America and hope that you will enjoy viewing my original art work.
