About this artwork
This painting is part of artist Patrick O'Boyle's ongoing Ethereal Abstraction series. Vibrant hues in orange, yellow, peach, and neon green blend boldly together. Patches of bright blue and purple provide bright contrasts in the composition. I paint standing up with the painting lying flat so I can control the paint application better, says Patrick. Using fluid acrylics, I apply layers of color. Scraping, scratching & painting back into it to reveal subtle texture, color, shape & patterns.
