About this artwork

A lone bison grazes on a wide plain in Yellowstone with a winding stream flowing behind. Revealing a line of shadowed trees in the background, artist John Jaster presents a majestic scene replete with an exquisite balance of warm and cool colors. John invites his viewer to survey the animal's activity juxtaposed with the flowing water, tranquil grassland, and the deep lush forest. John utilizes heavy body acrylics with multiple layers to achieve bold and rich colors.
