About this artwork

I wanted the feel of a slightly overcast sky on a moonlight night, for this old farmstead scene. I decided on a simple white farmhouse with wisps of smoke coming from the chimneys for this piece. I live and paint on an old farmstead in the Midwestern Heartland. My contemporary rural landscapes are painted simply from the heart. This painting has the sides painted dark green to match, so no framing is necessary!
