About this artwork

I paint scenes mainly from my imagination for my quiet, country landscapes. I live and paint on an old farmstead in the Midwest. My contemporary folk art landscapes are painted simply from the heart. In my work I strive to capture the feeling of quiet peace and serenity, that I find in the country. This original acrylic painting is of a heritage Merino sheep ram, that I found at a rural Farm Museum, here in the Midwestern summer. I was happy to have my paintings juried into the Society of Animal Artists, in the fall of 2013. The sides of the canvas are painted dark green, and this piece comes wired and ready to hang. This painting will also fit into a standard sized picture frame.
