About this artwork
The bison herd seen today in Grand Teton National Park began as a herd of 15 bison who escaped a fenced wildlife park near Oxbow Bend in 1968. Now almost 1000 of these magnificent creatures reside in the Park. Seen here in vivid color, the Grand Tetons rise majestically over a broad plain of grasslands, while front and center two bison graze serenely.
