About this artwork

Artist John Jaster paints a relaxing summer day with waves crashing just beyond the warm shore. A bicycle leans against a bench, where between the bench slats, a girl in a bathing suit can be seen texting, her backpack in the sand below. A palm tree, directly behind the bench, spreads its green and gold fronds above her, cutting shadows into the white sand.
