About this artwork

I live and paint on an old farmstead in the Midwest, where I paint scenes from my imagination for my quiet, country landscapes. These contemporary folk art landscapes are painted simply, from the heart. In my work I strive to capture the feeling of quiet peace and serenity, that I find in the country. This stone farmhouse painting was inspired from old houses that I have seen and love. I set it in a field of merry red poppies and under a blue sky, dotted with white puffy clouds. The sides of the canvas are painted to match, and this piece comes wired and ready to hang!
