About this artwork
Naoko says this painting is meant to evoke the feeling of going through a narrow path, and a little pond surrounded by trees appears. The closest two trees cross like the gate to the pond. Another tree spread its limb like a sunbrella. The water is half covered with algae, and its blue-green color is beautiful under the sun. The surface of the water shines in warm whitish pink.
