About this artwork

Artist Nick Savides presents a realistic scene of Sara D. Roosevelt Park on the Lower East Side. Kids play ball in the background as Nick focuses on the empty court in the foreground. The morning sunbeams on the trees, casting shadows across the floor and wall. I wanted to capture how the outline seems like x-rays of the trees beyond, says Nick.
