About this artwork

This girl was posing for me on a trip to visit a ranch in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, shares artist Heather Foster. She looked, to me, as if she was wearing black knee socks against her mostly white body. The foreground shows a texture of the grasses that starts to become a slight abstraction. The colors and marks create a complementing contrast to the way the animal is painted.
