About this artwork
As part of artist Patrick O'Boyle's ongoing Ethereal Abstraction series, he painted electric orange against a bright green background and accented with blue. I paint standing up with the painting lying flat so I can control the paint application better, explains Patrick. Using fluid acrylics, ink, and collage papers, I apply layers & layers of color. Scraping, scratching & painting back into it to reveal subtle texture, color, shape & patterns.
