About this artwork

Artist David Forks depicts a warm and sunny meadow filled with wildflowers, cacti, and trees from the northeastern region of San Antonio, Texas. May finds fields full of yellow and red flowers blooming later longer in the spring than their bluebonnet counterparts, says David. In this piece, David applies layers of paint creating subtle textures of flower petals appearing in the foreground. The view invites the viewer to look past a cluster of cacti and into open grassland. The piece evokes peaceful unfettered energies.
